Job Description
Responsibilities


  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
  • Develop and work with labor-management committees to identify training needs that meet the operational needs of healthcare institutions while creating a benefit for the members
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key union and management representatives at contributing facilities; keep abreast of training in demand and member needs
  • Set up classes, monitor attendance, review curriculum, and handle students and teachers’ feedback and complaints
  • Register members for educational programs, monitor attendance, collect paperwork and provide all required documents and forms to the appropriate TEF staff/departments
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of adult education and skills training programs for workers under the auspices of joint labor-management committees
  • Maintain and coordinate Training and Employment Committee meetings with labor-management
  • Provide educational and career advising, and tuition assistance services to union members at various healthcare worksites


Qualifications


  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Knowledge of higher education/workforce development, career and education advisement, and group facilitation required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively convey information orally, in writing and during group facilitation
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling or equivalent years of experience required
  • Basic skill level of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Minimum three (3) experience handling workforce development or education required
