Shockwave Medical, Inc. is a pioneer in the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Shockwave Medical aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.
Position Overview
This role is responsible for planning and execution of facility construction projects, renovation projects, major maintenance projects and strategic planning of office and production spaces at our global sites. You will work with facility management, designers, facilities maintenance team, vendors, and internal partners/customers to support these goals. You will have the opportunity to drive positive change and own projects from start to finish, with the goal of making the Shockwave’s campuses globally world-class manufacturing facilities.
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate project implementation and track project status, including any associated permit/ inspection work.
- Coordinate facilities projects to ensure vendors meet Shockwave’s standards while delivering promised services, materials, and craftsmanship.
- Take on new projects ad-hoc as the business needs.
- Review and manage project request tickets; create work orders when needed and manage to completion.
- Reconcile facility documentation after any improvement is completed to maintain accurate facility documents.
- Gather proposals from architects, engineers, and contractors; assign contracts through Shockwave’s legal team upon receipt of all proposals.
- Work with the end user and partners to operationalize the post-construction building operations and maintenance functions. Ensure Maintenance plans are set up for any new equipment post construction.
- Manage tools and folder systems relating to the organization of our projects.
- Facilitate landlord/property owner, city, county, and governmental approvals.
- Develop the final cost and schedule for the project, and implement controls as needed to manage cost, schedule, and scope during life of project.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and request for proposal (RFP) documents for vendors.
- Improve process planning by which construction projects are formulated, priced, approved, executed, and reviewed – full lifecycle improvements with the goal of providing on-time and under budget delivery with customer satisfaction.
- Manage, coordinate, and be a liaison to facilities projects, including construction and maintenance operations at Shockwave’s global facilities.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and tasks
- 5+ years of professional experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, or facilities management
- Strong knowledge of facilities management operations
- Ability to travel up to 20% as needed
- Ability to operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements
- Must have a sense of urgency to act promptly and with intention to make things happen efficiently, effectively, and with minimal interruption to operations
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, or an engineering discipline
- Proficient in AutoCAD & Microsoft Project or similar applications
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize multiple assignments, and work in a complex dynamic environment with deadlines, shifting priorities and frequent interruptions
Market Range: $133,000 - 148,000
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location
