A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Manages site's contracted services such as Janitorial, Security and Cafeteria per established contract, company policies and guidelines.
  • Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion.
  • Responsible for goals and proper execution of contracted services (as detailed above) per current Service Contract, Site Work Scope
  • Ensures sites Facilities KPI’s are properly established, monitored, and executed consistently through the year. Responsible for site’s systems to ensure KPI execution (ie, SAP CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for regulated Facilities systems PMs (Preventive Maintenance) and Corrective Maintenance activities and Service Now for general facilities repairs.)
  • With the Facility Engineer, could manage the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.
  • Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department.
  • Responsible for performance goals and execution management for the Facilities personnel.
  • With the site’s Facility Engineer, ensure that all utilities equipment is in proper working order, properly maintained and procures proper spares and appropriate service contracts to ensure this goal.
  • Manages expenses, keeps proper accounting, and uses available funds to sustain the Villalba’s site’s operations.
  • Plans and submits proper expense and capital budgets required to sustain Facilities and Utilities operations for future years.
  • Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.
  • Responsible for site Facilities and Utilities budget.
  • Establish organizational goals for Facilities department, aligned with PR (Puerto Rico) Functional and Corporate Facilities Functions.
  • Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs.
  • Functional Skills: Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance, Management Software programs (CMMS), Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, Working knowledge of maintenance operations, administrative services, contract management, security, janitorial, and grounds maintenance, Effective Communication Skills.
  • Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs.
  • Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department.
  • Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have
  • Energy Efficiency Programs (ie. LEED / CEM)
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM),
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering preferable in Electric o Mechanic
  • SAP CMMS
  • Predictive Maintenance Programs (PdM),
