The School of Information Sciences (iSchool) seeks a Freelance Copy Editor for the RDYL Journal to copy edit RDYL's publications twice a year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Scholarly publications development:
The person in this position will be responsible for copy editing RDYL's publications twice a year - 2 issues, each of which typically includes 4-5 peer reviewed articles, 2-3 book reviews, an editors' introduction, and sometimes a topical forum, which may be short essays, interviews, etc.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
Work experience (minimum 1 year) as copy editor
Knowledge of MLA 9
Knowledge of youth literature
Knowledge of DEI issues and topics
Education and Experience Preferred:
Familiarity with diversity in youth literature
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
MLA 9; familiar with humanities and social sciences; strong written communication skills; strong computer and word processing skills”
SALARY AND APPOINTMENT INFORMATION
Minimum salary of $20 hour. 900-hour appointment with expected reappointment (one time). Work may be completed remotely. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the close date.
