Job Description
About The Opportunity


The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for developing effective systems for managing the College of Professional Studies Experiential Learning & Career departments’ administrative and operational needs.


50% - Student Engagement


  • Manages general office inbox
  • Hosts reflection meetings with returning students to explore occupational purpose, engagement, and preparation
  • Conducts walk in hours and answers general student questions regarding career and experiential learning
  • Manages international student work authorization applications. Provide feedback to students
  • Manages co-op offers and applications. Provide feedback to students


20% - Operations


  • Reporting Focus – maintains and updates student and employer data to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting. Supports Director with reporting requests.
  • Approves student access to Northeastern Job Platform, updates records and posts jobs


30% - Experiential Learning Support


  • Updates existing resources (maintain website, informational materials, workshop presentations, virtual advising studio collateral, etc)
  • Promotes experiential learning and career services by collaborating with other internal departments - working with student leaders, student organizations, program managers and student engagement leader
  • Oversees programming/event operations and logistics


Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience required, preferably in Higher Education or an executive setting. Individuals must have strong organization skills, communications skills (both verbal and written). Must have project management skills and the ability to independently prioritize and manage tasks and demands with excellent attention to detail. Experience working with an international student population and familiarity with Symplicity and Canvas a plus. Excellent computer skills.
