The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Industrial Security Specialist to join the Government Security group located in Kent, WA.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Participates, as requested, on enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams
  • Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements
  • Assists less experienced personnel with Internal Security Controls
  • Assists COMSEC custodians and less experienced personnel in COMSEC responsibilities
  • Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Performs Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements
  • Conducts assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Leads and performs Personnel Security team and/or processes (works with databases, reviews files, conducts interviews, submittals to customers and schedules briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for standard customer requirements
  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs
  • Assists less experienced personnel with Administrative Inquiries
  • Conducts Communication Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities in compliance with government regulations/requirements
  • Assists less experienced personnel with Administrative Inquiries
  • Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action
  • Conducts security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes & Boeing Global Services are looking for Experienced Structural Analysis Engineer to support capability at Boeing India, Chennai. Our team of engineers support over 14,000 aircraft around the globe, and work closely with our customers to ensure that their fleet is operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. Position Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
  • Performs trade studies to optimize structure and meet program requirements.
  • Guides structural design and configuration development.
  • Responsible to collaborate with Service Engineers to perform root cause analysis and corrective actions on Sin-Service issues for Airframe and other Mechanical systems.
  • Performs detailed structural analysis (static strength, durability/fatigue and damage tolerance) to determine structural integrity (margins of safety), using classical techniques and Boeing tools.
  • Generate documentation to report analysis and test results to support certification/Qualification
  • Responsible for performing structural analysis of aircraft components, assemblies, and systems while working as an integrated team
  • Evaluate structural integrity of aircraft components by way of classical hand calculations and, finite element method
  • Support Gated Reviews to validate the quality and completeness of work packages
  • Researches and prepares data to support definition of structural design requirements.
  • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements
  • Familiar with regulatory framework (FAA and Mil-Spec), for warranting safety and regulatory compliance.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Applied Mechanics/Structural engineering and 10 - 13 years of experience in stress analysis.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with structural analysis of metallic and composite structures.
  • Ability to work across functional teams and organizations
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to liaise with several Stakeholders
  • Experience in structural analysis of various airframe structures.
  • Desire to continuously improve our airplanes.
  • Experience in utilizing industry CAD systems (e.g., NX/Teamcenter and CATIA/ENOVIA)
  • Experience of Aircraft maintenance and service procedures
  • Robust understanding of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, Free-body diagrams, structural loads and analysis methods
  • Experience with static and fatigue analysis
  • Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Applied Mechanics/Structural engineering.
  • Knowledge of airplane operating environments
  • Experience in utilizing FEM software (e.g., ABAQUS, PATRAN/NASTRAN, Hyperworks)
  • Candidate demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience or training with computer programming languages (e.g., Matlab, Python, Visual Basic)
  • Typical Education & Experience: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Applied Mechanics/Structural engineering and 10 - 13 years of experience in stress analysis.
