Every lesson we develop goes through a collaborative creation process and multiple review phases from experts in different fields/disciplines. Our main K-8 curriculum platform is Miacademy, and our high school platform is MiaPrep.
Our student base is growing rapidly and we are currently hiring for multiple positions across several departments! Our expansion stems from two key factors: our commitment to providing exceptional educational content to our students by scaling our team with passionate individuals, and our pursuit of new opportunities to enhance our students' learning experiences by broadening our capabilities and expertise as an organization.
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Copyeditor to support our team of curriculum developers. This role will start out as part-time but grow into a full-time position. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring everything on our sites are correct, including following our Style Guide to ensure cohesion across our sites. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring our content is accessible for all learners and that parents and educators can use our materials to provide a high quality education to their students.
This job will also consist of other support tasks for our curriculum development team, and will require that you learn a variety of programs. Experience with Airtable (or similar project management programs) and/or YouTube/Vimeo admin tools is a plus.

- Skilled Typist. 55+ wpm typing speed required.
- Independent and self-motivated. Being remote, you will need to hold yourself accountable for tasks and ongoing responsibilities with little supervision.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking. You have independently solved difficult technical problems and provided solutions or workarounds.
- Trust & integrity. You do what is right, don’t cut unethical corners, and are open about your work.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially written. You must have exemplary written and spoken English language skills, and you are a fast typist.
- Attention to detail. You notice every comma, apostrophe, and incorrect usage of italics in everyday life.
- Reliable high-speed internet. You will acquire a high-speed internet connection that will support you using multiple tabs and programs at one time, including video.
