LINKZ Midwest is seeking an experienced and compassionate Executive Functioning Coach who specializes in working with neurodiverse students. In this role, you will provide personalized coaching to help students develop and strengthen their executive functioning skills, both in an office setting and through virtual sessions. As an Executive Functioning Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal success of our neurodiverse students.
Responsibilities
1.Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with neurodiverse students to identify their unique executive functioning challenges and develop individualized strategies for improvement.
2.Create and implement customized executive functioning plans that address time management, organization, study skills, goal setting, self-regulation, and self-advocacy.
3.Collaborate with parents, teachers, and relevant professionals to ensure effective executive functioning strategies are implemented consistently across various settings (i.e., home, school, and other environments).
4.Utilize a strengths-based approach to empower and motivate students to overcome executive functioning obstacles and achieve their academic and personal goals.
5.Track student progress, maintain detailed records, and regularly communicate updates with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
1.Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
2.Proven experience working as an Executive Functioning Coach or in a similar role, specifically with neurodiverse students.
3.Strong understanding of executive functioning skills and strategies commonly used by neurodiverse individuals.
4.Knowledge of different learning styles and how they impact executive functioning skills.
5.Familiarity with various assistive technologies and applications that support executive functioning.
6.Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
7.Empathy, patience, and ability to build rapport with neurodiverse students.
8.Ability to adapt coaching techniques to meet the unique needs of each student.
9.Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
10.Flexibility to work both in-office and virtually, depending on student needs.
