Overview:
Serves as the Administrative Executive for the identified areas and Service Lines to develop and enforce policies and procedures, to operationalize budgetary decisions for areas of responsibility and participate in strategic planning for the Hospital. Primary functions of the role are (1) serve as a member of the management and leadership of the Service Line; (2) work directly with Department and Medical Director(s) and others to position the Service Line as a regional center of excellence; (3) work directly with Department Directors and Managers to provide leadership and guidance in planning, organizing, directing, controlling, staffing, and evaluating each Department both Hospital and Clinic (4) oversee the implementation of the St. Louis Community philosophy, goals, and objectives; (5) establish standards for clinical and management competency and, (6) represent the areas of responsibility in the strategic planning process. Performs related duties as assigned. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards; (7) Work with coworkers to implement LEAN principles, tools, and processes. and (8) Serves as the leader for Strategic Initiatives for the hospital and clinic.
Qualifications:
  • Required Education: Masters Degree in business or health- related field
  • Other: Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with diverse group. Upholds and role models behaviors of professionalism. Remains knowledgeable in advance in the healthcare environment through continuing education in areas of responsibilities. Is active in community/professional organizations.
  • Experience: Three to five years of previous experience in a leadership and management role working cooperatively with executive officers, physicians, and coworkers. Cardiology experience preferred
