The Role
As an Estate and Trust Associate, you'll play a crucial role in our holistic approach to helping clients plan for their future. From retirement planning to charitable giving and caring for loved ones, you'll be part of a team that understands and addresses various objectives throughout clients' lives.
Responsibilities
You'll have the opportunity to engage in diverse and rewarding tasks, including but not limited to:
Preparing estate, gift, and trust tax and informational returns.
Providing tax-related services for clients, spanning corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
Identifying and resolving tax issues to ensure compliance and optimization.
Assisting in managing Probate and Estate administration with a focus on precision and efficiency.
Taking charge of light Real Estate administration to further broaden your expertise.
Collaborating with the team to develop and present tax computations, work papers, and entries.
Conducting in-depth research on technical issues to enhance your knowledge and expertise.
Maintaining clear communication with team members on the progress of engagements and projects.
Embracing challenging assignments and engaging in continuous learning to improve your skills.
Requirements
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and traits:
A Bachelor's Degree in accounting or other related fields (e.g., J.D.).
0-3 years of progressive public accounting experience, specifically in the Estate and Trust area.
Active CPA licensure or actively working towards becoming a CPA.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
Exceptional reasoning abilities and sound judgment to tackle complex tax challenges.
Strong organizational skills, ensuring you prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
