WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Assist in the implementation for work site modifications, provide instruction on operating the adjustments on office furniture, demonstrate general specific exercises, advise on taking micro-pauses and provide written documentation (pamphlets etc.) for reference material.
- Implement ergonomic recommendations.
- Coordinate the activities of the Companies' Ergonomic Program. Conducts ergonomic work site evaluations (mostly virtual in nature), to include investigation related to specific job tasks and physical demands of the job:
- Implement ergonomic recommendations.
- Assist in the implementation for work site modifications, provide instruction on operating the adjustments on office furniture, demonstrate general specific exercises, advise on taking micro-pauses and provide written documentation (pamphlets etc.) for reference material.
- Send out work orders to appropriate departments and communicate with employee's supervisor on ergonomic needs of employees.
- Maintain documentation of evaluations, recommendations, actions, and outcomes of Ergonomic Program.
- Maintain ergonomic product inventory, order supplies, and assist in budget preparation.
- Implement and maintain internal- and OSHA-related policies and procedures to contribute to a safe and healthy working environment. Identify potentially hazardous work processes and recommend solutions to management.
- Assist in the review and revision of the written Ergonomic Program outlining goals, objectives, procedures, evaluation processes, benchmarking and outcome strategies incorporating home office and field employees.
- Actively participate in the Quality Improvement Process:
- Explore, analyze and evaluate ergonomic products and market trends.
- Conduct basic studies related to ergonomic issues.

- Provide individual, group, and management (ergonomic) training:
- Conduct on-going presentations regarding ergonomic issues (i.e. body mechanics, work posture, back injury prevention, exercises and stretching techniques, micro-pause recommendations).
- Conduct instructive classes for supervisors/managers teaching them how to do basic work station evaluations.
- Explore, analyze and evaluate ergonomic products and market trends.
- Conduct on-going presentations regarding ergonomic issues (i.e. body mechanics, work posture, back injury prevention, exercises and stretching techniques, micro-pause recommendations).
- Counsel and direct care for injury management of associates.
- Develop and maintain accurate medical records on all associates, and maintain strict confidentiality regarding health or personal affairs of the associate.
- Provide competent professional care and intervention for ill/injured associates.
- Provide assistance with analysis of Workers' Compensation claims.
- Assist in the review and revision of the written Ergonomic Program outlining goals, objectives, procedures, evaluation processes, benchmarking and outcome strategies incorporating home office and field employees.
- Assist in medical case management of the Workers' Compensation Program:
- Initiate "First Report of Injury" for work related illnesses/injuries.
- Counsel and direct care for injury management of associates.
- Provide assistance with analysis of Workers' Compensation claims.

ABOUT YOU:

- Professional background in one or more of the following areas: licensed Occupational or Physical Therapy, Medical Case Management, Occupational Health.
- You are able to work remotely and have access to high-speed internet.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to function independently
- Professional health care license for Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic computer skills preferably in one of the following: Lotus Notes, Word, or Excel programs
- Completion of company sponsored Ergonomic Certification program within 1 year of employment
- Proven organizational, analytical, oral and written communication, negotiation, decision making and human relation skills
- Ability to work and conduct presentations in large and small group settings
- Must be located in United States or Puerto Rico.
