Environmental Manager Jobs

Job Responsibilities

• · Serve as technical environmental subject matter expert in environmental regulatory areas including Acid Rain Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) requirements, Title V operating permits, SPCC plans, waste and hazardous waste regulations, Risk Management Plans and Tier II · Provide technical assistance and provide corporate oversight of HSE compliance for assigned facilities by serving as a corporate HSE single point of contact (SPOC) for assigned facilities. · Conduct periodic environmental reviews and assist facilities in resolution of issues identified in the reviews · Support and assist in management of transitions and mobilizations (change of operator at power plant). · Development of emission calculations and preparation of environmental reports such as release reporting and regulatory compliance reports. · Conduct periodic reviews of the corporate HSE procedures and recommend necessary improvements. · Support key environmental programs including air quality, hazardous waste, wastewater discharge, pollution prevention and release reporting. · Implement and assist in the development of corporate environmental programs, initiatives and strategies for improving environmental performance. · Communicate with regulatory agencies and customers as necessary to address environmental reporting, deviations, and notices of non-compliance. · Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis as needed. 2 ethosenergy.com · Design, develop, and facilitate training and presentations. · Improve environmental skills and knowledge through continuing education and training Environmental Manager Duties / Responsibilities (in addition to those above) · Develop, manage, populate, maintain, and improve EthosEnergy tools, processes and systems, including the compliance management system and incident reporting tools. · Drive improvement in key programmatic areas and responsibilities by developing tools, key performance indicators and implementation strategies. · Development and communication of SME analysis of regulatory drivers including emerging regulations. · Development of internal compliance and guidance documents Dimensions/Scope · The role includes corporate environmental responsibility for EthosEnergy (EE) operated power plants located in the Western Hemisphere. · This may include providing support as needed for EE-owned turbine repair shops. Required Skills / Knowledge

• · Strong communication and willingness to have a hands-on approach is required. · Candidate must be a self-starter with a high degree of initiative and ability to work independently. · Developed project management and customer skills · Must be computer proficient (Microsoft Office Suites, Learning Management Systems, EPA and local government reporting software, etc.) · The position requires frequent travel to operated facilities for up to 50% of the time, including some international travel. Applicant must have or be able to obtain a U.S. passport · Preference will be given to candidates who are bilingual.

Experience

• · A minimum of 3 years’ experience in environmental compliance for Environmental Specialist · A minimum of 10 years’ experience in environmental compliance for Environmental Manager · Experience working in a power plant or in an industrial facility preferred

Education Requirements

• · A four-year degree or commensurate experience/professional training in environmental, safety, engineering, or related science discipline · Candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of environmental laws and regulations, including Clean Water Act, RCRA, Clean Air Act, CERCLA, etc.

Physical Requirements
