Job Description
Job Tittle-Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist (EHS)
Job Location- Orangeburg, NY 10962,

Positions-1
Job Descaription
  • Support the implementation of EHS SOPs and Commitment to Safety Program.
  • Monitors program compliance and conducts audits for environmental, health and safety
  • Corrective Action Item tracking/completion
  • Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, DHS, CDRH and DOT regulations including, but not limited to:RCRA Large Quantity Generator waste management SPCCGA Air Permit
  • Accident Incident Investigation
  • Evaluates impact of regulations and standards on site operations
  • Tracking of utility metrics
  • Manage the sites EMIS Dakota Software and Scope 5
  • Internal Auditing
  • Training, including development of training materials and conducting training as necessary to ensure facility compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Spill and event contingency planning
  • Coordinates routine testing and monitoring of employees
  • Program specific action item tracking/completion
  • Mentoring individual facility operators, professionals, and management (as appropriate), especially during onboarding and major site projects, incidents or activities.

Education
  • University degree, preferably in engineering, chemistry, environmental or safety.
  • Professional certifications or a desire to work towards (PE, CIH, CSP, CHMM, OHSAS etc.).
Experience
  • Experience in development and execution of EHS strategy.
  • Up to date with latest EHS regulations and directives.
  • 1-3 years of experience in progressive EHS roles in manufacturing, preferably within the Aerospace Industry.
  • Desired experience managing Hazardous Waste programs
Skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent communicator, influencer, and ability to work with authorities, higher educational institutes and professional associations.
  • Fluent in English
