The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Entry Level Real-Time Software Engineer to join the Special Projects Dallas (SPD) Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) Software Engineering team located in Richardson, TX. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The selected Entry-Level Software Engineer will provide full software engineering life-cycle software design, development, integration and maintenance support for the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) Mission Systems contracts. The candidate will be focused software engineering activities in support of multiple product lines.

Position Responsibilities

• Works under close supervision.
• Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
• Troubleshoots basic software issues.
• Supports software research and development projects.
• Gathers information to support software project management.
• Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
• Assists with the documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
• Documents deployed processes and tools and collect metrics.

Work for this position will be Onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Ability to obtain a Top Secret post start.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree by Aug 2023
• Experience with development of C/C++, Java, and/or Linux Operating Systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience developing, documenting and maintaining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment and DevOps methodologies
• Highest level U.S. security clearance have or have held in the past 24 months

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Travel: - Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.

Summary pay range: $74,800 – $101,200
