Job Description
Position Summary

As an Entry Level HVAC Service Technician, you will perform service and maintenance tasks on commercial and / or industrial HVAC equipment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned
  • Work independently, and as part of a team, to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time frame
  • Complete required electronic documentation daily on a handheld device
  • Operate company vehicle to complete service calls in a specified territory
  • Assist service technicians, diagnose and troubleshoot various types of split systems, packaged rooftop, rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, pneumatic, electrical control systems, and other mechanical equipment
  • Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC equipment as needed
  • Use your HVAC skills and experience to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medium to large sized complex heating and cooling systems and associated control systems.
  • Perform assigned HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting task safely in commercial and industrial settings
  • Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.

Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications
  • EPA universal certification; Preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred; but can be company provided
  • Experience with RTU, air handlers, split systems, chilled water or boiler systems, preferred

Additional Requirements
  • Familiarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings, and other equipment layout materials
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel, as needed, for projects
  • Proficiency with electrical and mechanical diagnostics
  • Must be able to work independently and without supervision.
  • Professional demeanor and positive, caring attitude.
  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a positive, cooperative and teachable attitude
  • Complies and promotes company Safety Policy
  • Ability to pass MVR check
  • Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.
  • Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a physical ability test
  • Excellent communication and customer services skills.
  • Requires mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.
