The Enterprise Services Engineer assists with daily administration and provides support in GreenPages’ clients IT infrastructure. This role also maintains and supports internal server systems, virtual infrastructure, applications, and desktop systems. Additional responsibilities also include providing support to internal and external customers, the application development team, facilities, or other operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide virtual platform system technical performance and availability recommendations.
• Deploy and manage enterprise level virtual technologies.
• Manage the day-to-day administration of VMware and HPE virtual environments.
• Plan and engineer expansion of virtual infrastructure.
• Participate in the design and support of all backend infrastructure components for the virtual environment.
• Maintain and test HA/BCP virtual environments.
• Provide guidance for virtualization best practices.
• Performance and capacity management projections.

Additional/ Non-Essential Responsibilities

• Demonstrated experience in virtualization and consolidation of server technologies, specifically VMware vSphere and ESXi Virtual Infrastructure.
• Ability to collaborate with a team working across multiple locations.
• Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance and proposing solutions.
• Experience with building and maintaining high-availability (>99%) VMware environments.
• Thorough knowledge of Active Directory.
• Extensive Virtualization Experience – design, implement, and manage virtual environments, including Datacenter cluster(s) managed by vCenter.
• Ability to lead, and own projects.
• Thorough understanding of high availability, SRM, fault tolerance, and other BCP/DR technologies.

Job Requirements

• Ability to administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network
• Thorough knowledge of setting up BCP different technologies such as Veeam.
• Experience with VMware vCenter design and implementation best practices.
• Ability to work on call rotation as needed.
• Attached Storage (NAS) attached to VMware environments.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Good grasp of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of virtual environments with respect to proactive performance analysis and identification of potential bottlenecks.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with VMWare technologies.

Working Conditions / Environment:

Work hours: 8 hours per day (Mon-Fri). Specific hours agreed upon between employee and supervisor. Individuals must have transportation to commute to client site location. Also must be able to participate in on call rotation.
