English Teacher - High School

At Brooklyn Ascend High School (BAHS), we are looking for teachers who are passionate about their academic discipline and personally driven by the academic achievement of their students. Ascend teachers hold exceptionally high intellectual expectations of their students and create a culture of joyful academic discovery in their rooms. The high school English teacher will develop and teach engaging lessons that follow the rigorous, Common Core aligned Ascend curriculum. Additionally, the high school English teacher will:

The high school English teacher reports to the principal. They also accepts direction from and works closely with the department head and the school’s culture team.

Initial salary offers for this position range from $60,000 - $90,000. Salaries are determined using an equitable compensation scale that accounts for years of experience and levels of attained education.

If you receive an early offer to join us for the 2023-24 School Year after undergoing our talent processes, and sign prior to May 1st, 2023 you are eligible to receive a one-time $5,000 bonus.
