Job Description
What to Expect

Cell Materials Engineering group is looking for several highly motivated process technicians with hands-on pilot operating, or equipment maintenance experience. The successful candidate will be key team member focusing on daily laboratory/pilot operation to support various aspects of advanced chemical process development.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform instruments maintenance/repair and troubleshooting, common chemical waste handling
  • Work to identify and optimize process conditions as well as evaluate new reagent/material, process technology and equipment
  • Assist in design, built, commission new laboratory setup
  • Troubleshoot and keep maintenance log of all lab equipment
  • Document all procedure, reagents, key observation and key experimental record data
  • Assist engineers and other process technician to run mineral processing and wet chemical processes including but not limited to crushing, milling, sieving, sintering / calcination, reaction, filtration, ion-exchange, adsorption/desorption, and crystallization
  • Assist in data analysis and compiling
  • Adhere to company policies of safety and conduct
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience of hands-on experience on maintaining/repair/troubleshooting pilot equipment
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent documentation and written communication; proficient using Microsoft Office
  • Experience of working in chemical/material lab/pilot, engineering, or R&Denvironment
  • Experience of execute and design-controlled experiments including DOE a plus
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry, pH and reaction stoichiometry a plus
  • Climb stairs, stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Team collaboration and results delivery on schedule
  • Knowledge of analytical tests, such as ICP, titration, XRD, SEM, TGA, and their data analysis a plus
  • B.S. in chemical, material, and related engineering area, and/or demonstrated equivalence in work experience associated with the role
  • Creative approach to problem solving, with willingness to learn and try new things
