As applicable, works autonomously within their designated program. Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Fully comprehends and interprets including a variety of technical specifications, IPC knowledge, terms, and documents. Able to identify problems and issues in all situations resulting in collaborating with engineering in a viable solution. Self-starter with the ability to complete complex assignments while determining and/or following methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Must be flexible in supporting the program needs by being readily available to flex between processes as necessary. Readily available to support other programs whenever there is a business need. Consistently lead in team meetings with a positive attitude.

Responsible for performing complex functions associated with all mechanical assembly operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate complex operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to analyze data to solve complex issues
  • Mechanical Assembly
  • Expert using hand tools including but not limited to screw drivers, torque wrenches, soldering equipment, and epoxy dispensing tools.
  • Attention to Detail and the ability to read electronic work instructions
  • Chemical Application
  • Bonding/Staking
  • Be able to work under a low power microscope.
  • Soldering
  • 3 Years MS Office Experience

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
