Engineering Intern Jobs

Position will be open until filled.

GENERAL PURPOSE: Under general supervision, to support department personnel with various assignments related to Capital Improvement Projects and internal services.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Resolve technical issues and improve product flow.
• Analyze work processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
• Regular and timely attendance is required.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Conduct limited scope testing and design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers.
• Gather and assemble data for engineers, including research and development of existing products and technologies.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Assist engineers with appropriate design details.
• Knowledge of physically producing and reproducing engineering documents.

Minimum Qualifications

NOTE: DRIVER LICENSE WITH A GOOD DRIVING RECORD IS NOT REQUIRED.

Education And Experience

• Completion of sophomore year or higher by the end of May 2023 at a college majoring in civil engineering.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Required Knowledge Of

• AutoCAD Civil3D (preferred).
• Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Word, etc.).

Required Skill In

• Communicate effectively, orally, and written.
• Must be diligent, self-starting, hardworking, and quick to learn.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

• Must be able to bend or stoop to retrieve files.
• Work is performed in a standard office environment.
• Must be able to lift books, files, or other materials weighing 10 to15 lbs.
