We’re looking for a Field Engineer to do Civil Engineering in our State Parks. This position assists in overseeing all engineering projects involving new construction (roads, buildings, water, wastewater, etc.) and repair/renovation/restoration of existing Park facilities and infrastructure. Job duties include planning and the preparation of construction design plans and specifications for park facilities, assisting with the supervision of inspectors and surveyors, and performing administrative duties, including providing technical assistance to others in the Planning and Development Section, other Parks Division sections and park staff in the solution of engineering problems. Frequent in-state travel is required. Applicant must be able to traverse rough terrain, climb ladders, etc.

Applicants must meet or exceed the following qualifications: The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in chemical, civil, or mechanical engineering, or a related field. Must be licensed as a registered professional engineer in accordance with ACA 17-30-302. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee.
