About the role

As AGO has entered a stage of significant opportunity and growth, we seek a dynamic, creative, and solution-oriented Engagement Lead to manage and deliver our creative, tech and strategy programs, in close collaboration with our nonprofit partners.

This Engagement Lead will be critical in setting our teams, and our work, up for success, playing a direct role on the impact we provide and the critical work we support in human rights and environmental justice.

The ideal candidate for this role will be solution-oriented, collaborative, process-oriented, energetic, and adaptable. This will be someone who has deep experience in successfully defining and delivering strategic communications, creative campaigns and modern technology solutions for nonprofit and/or for-profit companies, is well-versed in project-management best practices, can problem-solve independently, and leads with empathy to meet program, partner and AGO goals.

This role reports to the Managing Director, with enormous potential for growth.

Overall Role and Responsibilities:

  • Follow and optimize our robust, replicable, and scalable project processes and frameworks.
  • Lead internal and key partner communications with clarity and compassion, expertly communicate abstract ideas, strategic process, and final recommendations to multi-disciplinary teams, and partners.
  • Lead collaboration and communication across a multi-disciplinary team— strategy, tech, creative, subject-matter experts and nonprofit partners—to successfully deliver on program goals
  • Develop and oversee a calendar of rolling milestones across workstreams and partners. Facilitate team collaboration, hand off key deliverables, and lead internal and external presentations.
  • Foster and grow strong relationships with nonprofit partners and internal multi-disciplinary teams, built through trust, effective communication and a clear understanding of their needs and their work
  • Collaborate with leadership and team leads to prepare for partner sessions. Help ideate, iterate, and refine varied program deliverables.
  • Effectively and consistently use engagement management tools, such as Monday.com, g-suite, slack and others to lead clear communication and efficient outputs.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work collaboratively and authoritatively with multi-disciplinary teams
  • 6+ years experience in engagement, project management, or production on advertising, digital, integrated campaigns
  • Ability to present effectively and persuasively to both internal and external audiences
  • Experience working with virtual teams across disciplines and timezones
  • Superb attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency with G Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar), Asana
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to manage multiple, concurrent work streams in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-directed and entrepreneurial
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
