PharmaCord is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to work with HR and business leaders across the organization who has a proven record for handling employee matters of all types with the employee and the company in mind. You might just be the person we need if: you can demonstrate solid ER knowledge; you can demonstrate through examples of your experiences working through tricky employee relations situations; you possess strong verbal and written communication skills, have an ability to prioritize time, demonstrate a sense of urgency, and understand the value of providing amazing customer service!

As an Employee Relations Specialist at PharmaCord you will have the opportunity to provide a broad range of professional employee relations activities including but not limited to: employee consulting, training, conflict resolution, complaint investigation, policy interpretation and the preparation and delivery of related summary reports and recommendations.


A typical day in the life of the Employee Relations Specialist will include the following:

· Providing advice and counseling to supervisors on employee issues as they relate to compliance with regulations and laws.

· Handling background check review and administration

· Conducting interactive processes with employees to determine ADA compliance and reasonable accommodations.

· Providing Health and safety support by handling workplace incidents

· Performing worker’s compensation claims administration

· Negotiating employment separations.

· Representing PharmaCord at personnel-related hearings, mediations, and depositions.

· Developing and conducting management training on harassment and discrimination, employment law, ADA, performance reviews, discipline, terminations, ethics, and personnel policies and regulations.

· Fostering and promoting the use of human resources services.

· Administering PharmaCord’s Employee Policy Handbook.

· Proposing and making recommendations to leadership for policy changes and improvements to employee related policies.

· Identifying legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensuring policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.


This job might be for you if (must have requirements of the role):

· You possess a functional knowledge of state and federal laws concerning labor relations.

· You have the ability to coach/advise employees and management through sensitive HR issues to resolve conflict and seek workable solutions.

· You can conduct individual and/or group facilitations to foster effective communication and healthy workplace relationships among employees and management.

· You are able to investigate work-related or compliance issues and prepare summary reports, conclusions and recommendations.

· You have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, and various agencies at all levels of the organization.

· You use reason and de-escalation skills to manage difficult or emotional situations.

· You present facts and recommendations verbally and in writing.

· You enjoy Planning, designing, implementing, and conducting trainings to a diverse level of management, and employees.

· You know how to maintain strict confidentiality.


Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Employee Relations, Human Resources or related field required.

· At least 3 years of professional human resource administration, including two years in employee relations preferred OR its equivalent through training, education, and other experience.

· SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.

  • Experience administering benefits and other onboarding steps strongly preferred.
  • All employees working onsite in a PharmaCord facility are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft products (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Must be well-versed in current labor laws to ensure compliance.
  • We are located in the River Ridge Commerce Center at 150 Hilton Drive, Jeffersonville, IN. You must be willing to work in this location; PharmaCord does reimburse for tolls if applicable, at the frequent user rate. This rate is applied after 40 trips per month (valued at $624.00 per year)


Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy.
  • This is a full-time exempt position.
  • Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.
