This is a permanent position where you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's success by aligning its most valuable assets - people - with its business goals. You will be responsible for managing a broad spectrum of HR functions including employee relations, federal and state employment law compliance, benefits administration, training and development, and employee engagement. Job Details


Responsibilities


  • Administer benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Conduct ongoing training and development programs to ensure employee skills remain current and competitive.
  • Nurture a positive working environment and ensure our company’s HR policies are in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential relationships across the organization.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
  • Measure employee engagement levels, identifying areas for improvement and implementing initiatives to improve overall employee experience.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.


Qualifications


  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Proven experience in managing employee relations and engagement initiatives.
  • In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • BS/MS degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • HR certification (e.g. PHR, SPHR) will be a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Proficient in designing benefits programs and managing benefits administration.
