Employee Pharmacy Technician (40 Hrs Per Pay Period)

Position Summary:
Perform, under the supervision of a Pharmacist, a variety of technical duties related to the preparing and dispensing of drugs according to hospital policies and procedures and federal, state and local laws.

Qualifications:
Education & Training:
High School graduate or GED equivalent.

Experience:
None.

Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Registered Pharmacy Tech with the State of Georgia as verified by the Georgia Secretary of State’s professional licensing board.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Utilizes a variety of standard office equipment to include computer, printers, labeling machine, fax machine, copier. Also utilizes IV Flow Hood.

Keyboard skills and ability to type 35 wpm necessary. Computer literacy of word processing, etc., desirable Utilizes a variety of standard office equipment to include computer, printers, labeling machine, fax machine, copier. Also utilizes IV flow hood.

Position is 40 hours per payperiod (0.5 FTE)

Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background and drug screens.
