The Critical Care Transport EMT is responsible for the safe and efficient ambulance transport of the UCLA Health System Patient. The EMT EMT will provide BLS level transport and assist the Critical Care Transport teams with neonatal, pediatric and adult transport within the EMT scope of practice. Salary range: $23.60 - $27.10 Hourly
We’re seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated professional with: * Maintain current EMT certification with LA expanded scope of practice required. * Ambulance attendant and driving experience required. * A valid California Ambulance driver’s certificate, medical examiners certificate and a good driving record required. * Must pass physical agility test for transport team members on hire, annually and as indicated, to insure safe performance of job functions. * Ability to relate cooperatively and constructively with patients, guests, and all healthcare members. * Skill in listening and comprehending information received in person or over the telephone to transport patients. * Skill in reading and writing in Standard English text. * Skill in speaking clearly and distinctly using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain and convey information needed in the transport process of all patients and other items. * Ability to understand medical terminology. * Ability to operate medical equipment such as, Ambu-bag, O2 tanks, and Air tanks to perform job duties. * Ability to transport patients in a safe, efficient, professional manner appropriate to good public and patient relations. * Ability to accept new responsibilities and work cooperatively with various hospital staff.
