General Overview

Assists and supports the nurses and physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assists with electrophysiology procedures. Operates laboratory and imaging equipment used in the performance of electrophysiology studies. Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and contacts proper support personnel. (60%)
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
• Performs technical interrogation of implanted devices (15%)
• Performs sheath removal. (15%)
• May maintain the inventory and station management system for supplies. (10%)

Qualifications

Minimum

• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification required within 6 months of hire
• 1 year experience in general Radiology
• Associates degree or equivalent experience

Preferred

• Radiography Certification and Registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• One year experience in Electrophysiology or Cath Lab
