E Ink provides the cutting-edge electronic paper display technology with low-power, flexible and paper-like appearance used worldwide in, for example, eReaders and signage. E Ink has an opening for a Technician in the Product Development Department to help E Ink develop its technology for new applications. The Technician will help set up and perform electro-optical experiments, support test process development, and implement and document best practices. The successful candidate should also be capable of mastering the use of new equipment and supporting the development of new measurement methods.
Responsibilities
- Run and monitor multiple computer-automated experiments simultaneously
- Set up electrical and optical apparatus for electro-optical experiments including configuring test displays, initializing experimental electronics and performing equipment calibration
- Support other time-sensitive project requests within the team
- Report any software and/or hardware issues to engineers/scientists
- Implement best practices to ensure effective inventory and logistics management of display samples
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Associate or, preferably, Bachelor degree in Engineering, Math, Science or related field
- 3-5 years of work experience as a Technician
- Careful attention to detail
- Self-directed, motivated, and hands-on personality
Preferences
- Programming skills
- Experience in Matlab
