We are currently seeking an Electro-Mechanical Specialist to join our team and support a major client at their facility in New Bedford, MA.

As an Electro-Mechanical Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment at our client's site. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electro-mechanical systems, contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of the facility. This is an onsite position that requires weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Document maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and equipment performance records.
  • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electro-mechanical equipment, including but not limited to motors, conveyors, robotic systems, and control panels.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in electro-mechanical systems to provide insights and recommendations for process improvement.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and technicians, to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electro-mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment to perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, including reading and interpreting technical schematics and blueprints.
  • Flexibility to work weekend shifts as required.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
