Electronics Mechanical Assembler Jobs

Jacobs is looking for you if you like challenging mechanical hardware tasks of electronic assembly! We need an electronics assembly technician to help us grow and take on challenging tasks that involve assembly of basic and intricate electro-mechanical parts, soldering, repairs, and complex wiring of electronic components. Work independently and as part of a team!

The position involves the assembly of mechanical parts, wiring of electronics components, some soldering and performing crimping of connectors. You will work from documentation that includes assembly drawings and procedures. You will be required to complete travelers for all assemblies.

Responsibilities:

• Assembly of electronic sub-assemblies and integration of sub-assemblies into top assemblies.
• Use of hand tools required for electronic assembly, soldering iron, microscope, measuring tools.
• Be able to take an electronics assembly kit, inventory, review documentation and build per the drawing while filling out the necessary documentation for quality inspection.
• Be able to read and interpret electronic/mechanical documentation.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Must have the ability to complete hand written travelers.
• Have effective communication skills.
• Individual should be clearable however a clearance is not necessarily required for this position.
• Attendance is critical and individual will be required to work a standard 8.5hr schedule, 5 days per week.
• You should have standard certifications for electronic assembly or have had training equivalent to.
• Space training a plus+ Be able to lift 25 lbs, standing and sitting for periods of time without issue.
• Be a team player with initiative.
• Experience with hand tools such as calipers, multi-meters and torque tools.
• Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical drawings.

Preferred:

• Individual should have current or had in the past, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications or advanced electro-mechanical assembly experience.
