Electronics Cable Assembler Jobs

Jacobs is looking for you if you like building challenging electronic cable assemblies! We need an electronics assembly technician to help us grow and take on challenging tasks that involve assembly of basic and complex cable assemblies, wire harnesses, soldering, repairs, and complex wiring of electronic components. Work independently and as part of a team!

The position involves the assembly of military connectors (Mil-Spec 38999), coax, SMA, Molex components, soldering and performing crimping of connectors. You will work with shieled, twisted and coaxial cable to name a few. You will work from documentation that includes assembly drawings and procedures. You will be required to complete travelers for all assemblies.

Responsibilities:

• Use of hand tools required for electronic assembly, soldering iron, microscope, measuring tools, wire cutting tools.
• Be able to read and interpret electronic/mechanical documentation.
• Be able to take an electronics assembly kit, inventory, review documentation and build per the drawing while filling out the necessary documentation for quality inspection.
• Assembly of electronic cable assemblies and integration of cable assemblies into top assemblies.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Experience with hand tools such as calipers, multi-meters, wire cutting, label creating tools.
• Must have the ability to complete hand written travelers.
• Experience soldering and crimping.
• Individual should be clearable however a clearance is not necessarily required for this position.
• Attendance is critical and individual will be required to work a standard 8.5hr schedule, 5 days per week.
• Be a team player with initiative.
• You should have standard certifications for electronic cable assembly or have had training equivalent to.
• Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Have effective communication skills.
• Be able to lift 25 lbs, standing and sitting for periods of time without issue.

Preferred:
