The Role
This position develops and streamlines work force plans to align key processes with valid customer expectations and requirements, working with suppliers and customers to improve quality of process inputs. Leads and supports installation and repair processes using technical knowledge, effective communication skills, management tools, and quality process interventions.
The Main Responsibilities
- Maintains effective communication skills, management tools, and quality process interventions.
- Manages the daily operation of internal and external work forces whose work includes the screening, documenting, tracking and return responses for all Lumen Cable Locate incoming requests.
- Will be responsible for team metrics and reporting as required by senior leadership.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for protection of the fiber optic plant
- Establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships with personnel at all impacting organizations as well as other external contacts so that issues are resolved correctly and timely.
- Continually striving to better define and improve departmental processes for optimal efficiency and network reliability while engaging intradepartmental and interdepartmental resources to achieve results.
- Collaborates with others to achieve a win-win working relationship.
- Leads and supports excavation and repair activities using technical knowledge.
- Motivates team for continuous improvement and achievement of maximum performance, including major emphasis on training, coaching, and development of employees regarding new processes and quality standards.
- You will serve as the single point of contact between Lumen Contractors and Employees to resolve issues associated with all incoming requests.
- Analyze and measure data to identify key trends in performance.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office products and other software including UtilSp, 3GIS, Sitetracker, Netbuild, SAP, and legacy systems.
- 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, with damage prevention/Call Before You Dig (811) experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with relocation project lifecycles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
- Master’s degree.
