Job Description
Summary
The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 4 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance and that can edit and write Programmable Logistics Controller logic, build/edit Human-Machine Interface (HMI) screens and troubleshoot network issues. They also need to be able to replace a variable-frequency drive (VFD) as an upgrade. Be able to remove an obsolete drive (example: AB160 to PF525) and replace it with a newer drive where you can’t download the old program to the new drive due to compatibility. Acts as a senior material handling technician on all equipment that is installed at the Jenks, OK site location. Provides assistance and mentors lower-level employees. Day Shift 6am-2pm Monday - Friday

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $33.00 to $36.00 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do In This Role:

  • Ethernet I/P, DH+, or RS232. Must be able to download PLC program if necessary.
  • Must be able to use a multimeter and work in control panels with up to 480VAC
  • Must be able to go online with Control Logix, Compact Logix.
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs required.
  • Should be able to replace and configure AB Powerflex 40, and 525 VFDs
  • Must be able to understand / troubleshoot DeviceNet, and ControlNet networks
  • Strong Electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Should be able to replace Panelview and download application using Panelbuilder and RS View Studio.
  • Must be able to use RS Logix 5000, software for machine troubleshooting.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each, occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds
  • Knowledge of automated equipment; preferably automated material handling systems. Experience with Allen-Bradley RSLogix5000 PLC controls platforms.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Typically, an Associate degree or vocational technical training preferred. Specialized skill training/certification preferred.
  • Mechanical experience with gearboxes, sprockets, chains, bearings, guide rollers, and other related equipment.
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills to include wiring, ac power, ac motors, electrical drawings/schematics, and control panels.
  • Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces
  • Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation, Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours, and regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
  • Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
  • Servo drives, PLC, PC controllers, dc power supplies, optical devices (i.e., encoders, photoeyes, etc.), Some experience with DeviceNet, PROFIBUS, Ethernet, or equivalent network communications is a plus.
