Electrical Engineer Jobs

The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling Power Transmission & Distribution projects. They will help performing site visits, data collection, engineering, design and project management.

Responsibilities

• Under Project Manager’s/Senior Engineer’s supervision, develop conceptual plans, subsurface utility base maps, civil & electrical design drawings for proposed overhead and underground infrastructure, plan & profile drawings, utility pole diagrams, cable pull plans, permit drawings, construction drawings, details, specifications and as-builts.
• Perform records research, submit One Call design tickets for underground maps, obtain right-of-way/easement maps, as-builts and other utility information.
• Perform site visits, survey, field inspection, data collection, utility pole and manhole inspections. Document field notes and data required to develop design drawings.
• Prepare designs ready for Licensed Professional Engineers to endorse (sign and seal) prior to client submissions.
• Assist senior staff with project coordination, reporting, preparation of proposals, technical & commercial write-ups, meeting minutes and task orders for subcontractors.
• Prepare notes, instructions, permit applications, bid specifications, bill of materials, outage plans, construction work order packages and other project related documents.

Qualifications

• Power, Telecom or other Utility experience is a plus.
• Strong problem solving, technical and communication skills.
• EIT preferred.
• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation programs.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
