Title: Electrical Engineer


Location: Jackson, FL


Industry: Construction


Required: PE License, LEED License, or MEP License


Responsibility:-


  • The employee provides independent, timely, and professional specialized electrical engineering products, services, and consultation for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other Supported Commands, including minor works projects, specific projects, special projects, military construction, demolition, maintenance, space utilization, and facilities development.
  • The employee represents the Regional Office in conferences with project stakeholders and collaborates with other engineering and architectural disciplines to ensure system coordination and integration with specific project requirements.


Duties include:-


  • Design support of architectural and engineering (A/E) Contracts
  • Construction support including post-construction award service which includes review and approval of contractors’ submittals to confirm compliance with contract-specific actions.
  • Electrical design and evaluation
  • Design management coordination including coordination efforts with other engineers and architects involved in multi-discipline projects.
  • Electrical engineer community support to the Regional Office which involves utilizing your own expertise to consult with and support other engineers.


Experience and Education:


Must have:

  • Design experience, PE license, LEED or MEP, and in the construction industry.
  • Current Licensure as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect.
  • Ability to complete 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every two (2) years. Training requirements are a condition of employment.
  • Certification in Engineering and Technical Management, Foundational. If not currently you will have 36 months to earn this certification.


Other Job Requirements and Position Information:


  • Occasional travel up to 15%, away from the normal duty station is required.
  • Eligible for telework depending upon the activity and where the position is filled.
