Endeavour’s GigaGrid product group has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer. In this position you will work directly with the research and development team and be responsible end-to-end hardware lifecycle development for GigaGrid’s product suite. We are looking for an innovator and leader who will help shape the cutting-edge, modular hardware building blocks that shape the distributed, edge-compute driven clean energy applications within GigaGrid. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be directly developing clean tech products with cutting edge-power electronics that support distributed solar and battery storage applications and next generation of grid monitoring sensors and EV charging equipment.
The Electrical Engineer needs to be agile, professional, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person is trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, can think strategically, and works equally as well independently as with a team. GigaGrid values efficiency and strives to maintain smooth operations.
For GigaGrid and for all the product groups within the Endeavour Ecosystem, we are highly selective about the people we bring on board because our ecosystem depends on it. Endeavour’s unique business model and ability to cut through red tape means change and progress happens quickly. We must be able to trust one another to be honest, communicative, strategic, reliable, and driven. We seek ultra-creatives and superstar performers with a sense of humility and a hunger to make a positive impact in the world. We offer flexibility and endless growth opportunities to those who can harness their skills and talents and identify how and where to use them to add value. Growth in the ecosystem means expanding outward, not upward, because there is no corporate ladder to climb. Your path is in your hands, and Endeavour’s team is here to support our companies, innovators, and change-makers. At the heart of the ecosystem is a diverse group of bright, passionate, dedicated people, working together to make a real difference. Are you ready to join the journey?
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work and support cross-functional teams of hardware, firmware, software and mechanical engineers throughout the engineering and system integration efforts.
- Participate in engineering design reviews before releases at various stages.
- Design, validate and debug complex hardware prototypes during new product introduction sprints.
- Execute full electrical hardware design lifecycle activities for the GigaGrid product suite, from concept to deployment, leading the activities around engineering analysis, prototyping, test, validation and documentation and eventual full production release.
- Travel for 5-10% of the time.
- Take ownership of designs, and manage individual tasks, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Develop new cutting-edge sensors, electronic modules that support GigaGrid‘s and Endeavour’s evolving needs.
- Help validate firmware/embedded software for different hardware products.
- Perform type testing, batch testing, and QA/QC checks on mass produced electronic hardware at different stages of the projects.
