We are seeking a professional like you to join our team! This position is discipline-specific and has a long-term and strategic focus. It is responsible for driving reliability performance by using the most appropriate and effective tools and techniques.

As a Reliability Engineer you create chemistry by…

• Ensuring a culture of continuous improvement employing LEAN Manufacturing tools.
• Providing technical support for troubleshooting of problems and optimization of PM and PdM programs.
• Understanding of maintenance and reliability work processes, such as centrifugal pumps, piping systems, pressure vessels (including heat exchangers), atmospheric storage tanks, positive displacement pumps, relief devices and compressors of various design.
• Collaborating with Production and Maintenance personnel and provide services related to design review, repair and maintenance, including predictive/preventative maintenance activities.
• Coordinating with maintenance, production and storeroom personnel to establish and maintain the proper stocking levels of parts and equipment required to provide maximum equipment uptime at the lowest possible costs.
• Providing technical support to Production and Maintenance personnel, leading or participating in Root Cause Failure Analyses and monitoring KPI data for early identification and resolution of reliability issues.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Your formula for success…

• Must possess the ability to work independently and deliver projects/tasks on time and within budget.
• Knowledge and experience to provide technical guidance
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical equipment design and detailed understanding of maintenance and reliability activities associated with process equipment
• Engineering degree.
• Must be team oriented and be able to lead and direct members of the maintenance team.
• Thorough background in utilization of PdM tools (vibration analysis, lube oil analysis, thermography, etc.) for equipment condition evaluation and improvement.
• Excellent computer skills to include CMMS software, manufacturing software, spreadsheets and word processing software.
• Strong background in equipment troubleshooting, including root cause failure analysis and implementation of improvement efforts.
• Background in optimization of equipment PM activities and strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate. Strong interpersonal skills.
• 5 / 9 Years of experience in a Reliability/Maintenance role.
• Knowledge of API and ASME codes preferred. Also, knowledge of SAP preferred.
