Job Description
Position Introduction/Key Duties


Cimarron is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development of Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner, a Boeing spacecraft supporting NASA's Commercial Crew Program, at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This vehicle will be used to safely transport astronauts to the International Space Station and low earth orbit!


As a Power Subsystem Engineer for Boeing's Commercial Crew space program, you will be part of an exciting and challenging opportunity. You will play a crucial role in designing power product upgrades for future flights and contributing to the success of the CCTS space vehicle testing.


Key Duties


  • Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Design hardware, software and interface specifications.
  • Develop and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.


Required/Desired Skills, Experience, And Education


Required Skills, Experience, and Education:


  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Cimarron employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3 or more years of experience with Power Systems or power subsystems.
  • Ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.


Desired Skills, Experience, And Education


  • Experience with spacecraft solar array, electrical and power systems is a major plus.
  • Requirements and requirement verification experience is helpful.
  • Space products and/or vehicle electrical circuits design and analysis is a major plus.
  • Experience with battery is helpful.
