About the role
The Kodak Moments Software Developer position is responsible for development of software applications that drive the Travel and Leisure business products. This individual will be a key member of Kodak Moments Software Development team, and requires the ability to design and develop software, in an agile development environment.
The individual will work with our Rochester NY staff either locally or remotely. Anyone working remotely can have occasional travel to Rochester as needed.
Travel Systems Background:
Travel and Leisure is part of Kodak Moments business unit, providing souvenir imaging systems and services to the Travel and Leisure market. Target customers include theme parks, resorts, destination attractions and cruise lines. Software is core to the Travel and Leisure Systems, Products and Services, which includes on-location imaging systems and cloud-based service offerings.
The individual will work with our Rochester NY staff either locally or remotely. Anyone working remotely can have occasional travel to Rochester as needed.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with development team to successfully anticipate, identify and resolve issues/concerns internally. Work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
- Evolve product specifications into working system components, using Agile methodology and processes.
- Design, code, unit test, debug and document application workflows, client and server software applications.
- Innovative, self-motivated and self-directed with keen attention to detail, exceptional service orientation and the ability to motivate others in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Diagnose and resolve software defects and problems.
- Participate and drive platform architecture definition.
- Clearly and actively communicate status of work and projects to stakeholders as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Required
- Strong, fluent written and verbal communication in English.
- Experience with Object Oriented, Event-Driven Application architecture and programming.
- Receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Actively seeks guidance when needed.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Sprints, etc.).
- Experience with Windows 2019 Server. SQL Server and Web Services (Web API, SOAP, RESTful Interface design).
- Works on problems of varying scope and levels of analysis.
Desired
- Experience with Docker and Linux operating systems.
- Experience working with package management systems, such as Nuget.
- Experience in Java and Android.
- Experience with API management and Cloud-based platforms and services [AWS, Google].
- Experience building distributed systems to run on cloud connected/disconnected environment.
- Experience with C# and Microsoft’s Visual Studio .NET.
- Experience in creating cutting edge cross platform thin client application leveraging front-end technical stack consisting of Azure, WPF, Xamarin, Angular, React, HTML5 and CSS.
- Experience creating microservices using serverless technology and DevOps.

Education and/or experience specifications:
- 0-8 years of related experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree
