EDUCATIONAL COORDINATOR – Full Time
OVERVIEW:
This full-time position will provide operational support to the organization’s live online, OnDemand and in person education offerings. This position, under collaboration of the Operations Manager, will also be responsible for identifying process enhancements to drive operational efficiencies.

This opportunity lies within our educational division, National Alliance of Medical Auditing Specialists (NAMAS), which provides career development training and continuing education for individuals within a medical billing, coding, auditing or compliance role. This candidate will be acting in an operations support role and assisting with the organization’s educational activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibilities include:
● Manage the organization’s weekly webinar delivery. This includes management of the webinar schedule, aggregation of data needed to apply for and obtain continuing education units (CEUs), communicating with speakers, moderators and attendees, storage and distribution of educational materials. Candidate must be available during broadcast times to help troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
● Manage the organization’s training offerings. This includes management of the training schedule and coordinating learning materials (including annual updating), registration of attendees, communicating with instructors and attendees, distribution of training materials and soliciting feedback upon completion of the course. Candidate must be available during training sessions to help troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
● Assist with administrative duties related to the organization’s two main conference events - one virtual conference in the spring and one in-person conference in late fall/early winter. Duties include vendor collaboration, registration of attendees, associated attendee communications leading up to the events, development of virtual conference platform, aggregation of speaker data and presentation materials, obtaining continuing education units (CEUs), communicating with speakers, vendors and attendees. Candidate must be available during both conference events. Onsite attendance at the in-person conference will be required to assist with set up of presentations, attendee registration, processing of orders, and general attendee assistance.
● Management of organization’s Learning Management System (LMS) to include oversight of the creation, organization and maintenance of OnDemand learning modules within the LMS. This responsibility includes collaboration across DM departments to ensure educational modules are always up to date.
● Management of the organization’s educational credentials. Duties include proctoring and grading certification exams, management of certification databases as well as ongoing member communications regarding CEU submissions for credential renewals.
● General administrative support to include answering phone inquiries and emails, proofreading of articles or learning materials
● Other duties may be assigned to support the workload and growth of the organization
This is a remote position that will report directly to the department’s Operations Manager. Candidate will engage in weekly one-on-one accountability meetings, as well as monthly collective department meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● A willingness to work outside of 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. if the workload demands it
● Ability to provide Quality Assurance for spelling, grammar and word choice
● Ability to work well independently and collaboratively with team members
● Ability to become a super user of deployed software
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Education or related discipline
● Minimum of 2 years of prior administrative, software management or event planning experience in a fast-paced environment
● Proficiency with Google Workspace and MS Office Suite (Proficiency assessment may be required)
