Responsibilities:

• Editorial Oversight: Manage the entire content creation process, from ideation to publication, ensuring high-quality, well-researched, and compelling articles, features, and opinion pieces.

• Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content for grammar, style, clarity, and adherence to editorial guidelines, while maintaining the unique voice and tone of TiffinOhio.net.

• Fact-Checking: Verify the accuracy of information and sources, ensuring all content is reliable and trustworthy.

• Collaboration: Work closely with writers, photographers, and other contributors to ensure cohesive and consistent content across platforms.

• Audience Engagement: Analyze audience feedback, metrics, and data to gain insights into content performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize engagement.

• SEO Optimization: Collaborate with the digital team to incorporate SEO best practices into content creation, including keyword research, meta tags, and on-page optimization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

• Proven experience as an Editor or in a similar editorial role, preferably in a digital news environment.

• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to upholding editorial standards.

• Strong knowledge of AP Style, grammar rules, and the ability to adapt writing style to suit different content formats and target audiences.
