TitleDriver Helper - Syracuse Great Info LocationSyracuse, NY DescriptionJob Purpose: Safely and effectively performs general labor for cleaning and reconditioning equipment used in the field and various duties around the facilityDuties and Responsibilities:- Clean/wash work area, machines, containers, trailers, vehicles and/or equipment- Use power washer to clean equipment- Use chemicals with proper PPE provided- Assist with container maintenance, pick-up and delivery (as needed)- Move material within facility using equipment like forklift and bobcat as needed- Operate truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products safely throughout the facility- Assist with completing and verifying paperwork for accuracy- Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner- Follow department and company procedures- Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company- Other duties as assigned Position Requirements- Prior forklift experience desirable- High School diploma or equivalent- Requires valid driver license with acceptable MVR and medical cardPhysical Demands/RequirementsConstantly (over 2/3):- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. occasionally- Must be able to bend, twist, squat, push, and pull on a regular basis- Must be able to work independently/with little supervisionFrequently (1/3-2/3):- Exposed to work both in-door and outdoor weather conditions- Utilizes tools and equipment such as a power washerOccasionally (under 1/3):- Detect and observe conditions that need to be addressed such as equipment that needs to be painted or materials that need to be moved/removed.- Electronically and manually completes logs/reports if needed- Communicates with staff in the process of performing duties BenefitsPaid medical, dental and vision coverage; Paid holidays; Paid vacation and sick time; Retirement plan available Full-Time/Part-TimeFull-Time Shift-not applicable- Exempt/Non-ExemptNon-Exempt About the OrganizationBaker Commodities Inc. has been in business for over 80 years.
