Driver Helper Jobs

We have an immediate need for a Driver Helper to work with an industrial company located in Syracuse, NY. Starting pay is $20.60/hr. DIRECT HIRE
Job Purpose: Safely and effectively performs general labor for cleaning and reconditioning equipment used in the field and various duties around the facility
Duties And Responsibilities

• Follow department and company procedures
• Operate truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products safely throughout the facility
• Assist with container maintenance, pick-up and delivery (as needed)
• Clean/wash work area, machines, containers, trailers, vehicles and/or equipment
• Use chemicals with proper PPE provided
• Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company
• Use power washer to clean equipment
• Assist with completing and verifying paperwork for accuracy
• Move material within facility using equipment like forklift and bobcat as needed
• Other duties as assigned
• Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner

Position Requirements

• Prior forklift experience desirable
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Requires valid driver license with acceptable MVR and medical card

Physical Demands/Requirements
Constantly (over 2/3)

• Must be able to bend, twist, squat, push, and pull on a regular basis
• Must be able to work independently/with little supervision
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. occasionally

Frequently (1/3-2/3)

• Utilizes tools and equipment such as a power washer
• Exposed to work both in-door and outdoor weather conditions

Occasionally (under 1/3)

• Communicates with staff in the process of performing duties
• Electronically and manually completes logs/reports if needed
• Detect and observe conditions that need to be addressed such as equipment that needs to be painted or materials that need to be moved/removed.
