IT’SUGAR is looking for a fun and dynamic District Manager to join our crew. The District Manager the sales and profit of the retail locations in the assigned territory/district through management, sales leadership, training and development, execution of non-negotiable standards of operation, cost control, and asset protection. The focus of the District Manager is to build and sustain a work environment staffed with engaged, high-performing store managers who create a customer experience that is second to none.

Oversee Multiple Store Locations:

• Manage, coach, and counsel the store managers in the assigned district.
• Lead, coach, and motivate through positive, enthusiastic brand representation and present solutions for ongoing challenges.
• Consistently coaches and trains sales associates to ensure productivity.
• Makes staffing decisions including employment, discipline, training, assignment, and termination for assigned functions.
• Participate in all Regional initiatives as defined by Store Operations Leadership
• Train and holds managers accountable to our customer engagement model SWEETPledge by setting the stage, welcoming, engaging, entertaining, and thanking the customer.

Recruit Great Talent:

• Selects, trains, and coaches Store and Area Managers and ensures that policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Responsible for proactively networking/recruiting for qualified candidates to ensure proper backfill for all positions. Seek internal/external candidates with a proven ability to develop and maintain sincere, authentic relationships.

• Provide timely performance feedback to managers.

Achieve Sales Goals:

• Establish a Collaborative Selling Culture in the assigned area, ensuring Managers/ Associates/Supervisors are trained in all IT’SUGAR selling training programs.
• Achieve area/district sales and profitability goals.

Manage Store Operations

• Oversee the allocated budget for the district.
• Oversees all operational standards for the assigned district of stores.
• Oversees the planning and set-up for special events and promotions.
• Ensure stores follow all merchandise displays to visual guidelines.
• Maintain communication with Store Managers regarding product recommendations to increase sales/inventory.
• Understands all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures and communicates LP issues.

What you need to join the fun (besides SUGAR):

• Ability to lift product in order to properly merchandise it. The employee must frequently, and independently, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employees need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs (may be assisted with this task).
• Years of Experience: 7+ years of retail experience
• Prior sales and management experience in a retail environment is required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• Must be able to travel 60% of the time.
• Ability to constructively coach others to success
• Must have strong computer skills.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a District Manager
• Ability to work independently and lead a team of retail managers.
