The primary purpose and function of this position is to sell Nestlé USA products to the company's retail partners. Activities will center on selling new item introductions, marketing promotions, line extensions, merchandising and maintenance of existing product lines. In some instances this position will be responsible for training of new sales employees.
This role is designed to develop the future sales leaders of Nestlé. These highly sought after positions are comprehensive, interactive and strategically integrated into our Sales department. Store Sales:
  • Suggest creative sales and marketing concepts to Management.
  • Establish and achieve retail sales goals and objectives for territory.
  • Assume complete responsibility for store activity and development within a territory.
  • Ensure that authorized distributions are present within assigned retail accounts.
  • Execute promotionally effective marketing and sales programs at store level.
  • Capitalize on retail distribution opportunities at store level and communicate competitive distribution gains
  • Increase store sales volume within territory.

Store Merchandising:
  • Implement and achieve corporate merchandizing objectives at all assigned accounts.
  • Obtain maximum display support at all assigned retail accounts.
  • Use POS material to support the movement of all products.


Sales Administration:
  • Maintain proper territory coverage of all assigned accounts within territory.
  • Provide useful and timely service to accounts and handle customer and consumer complaints in accordance with policies.
  • Follow company car policies. Company car and other company equipment should be maintained in accordance with company policies.
  • Develop proper relations and rapport with customers within territory.
  • Submit and maintain proper customer records, sales, activities and other required reports and forms.
  • Maintain, organize and update all sales materials for effective utilization.
  • Drive to assigned stores and provide sales coverage as required.
  • Handle unsaleable products according to company policies.


Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree or 2-3 year retail experience preferred
  • A minimum of one to two years of successful Retail sales and/or consumer goods experience preferred


Skills:
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft office applications
  • Demonstrates leadership ability through direct or cross functional team
  • Ability to train others on Nestle standards
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to influence others
  • Knowledge of beverage, ready to drink or Direct Store Delivery (DSD) is a plus
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Embrace an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Detailed oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment

This role is located in the Seattle territory. The successful candidate should live within 50 miles of Seattle. #LI-Hybrid
The approximate target compensation range for this role is $54,000 to $76,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
