Kett Engineering is seeking a dispatcher to work on an autonomous vehicle testing program in Santa Clara, CA.

Job Summary and General Purpose of Position:The Dispatcher monitors and controls vehicle movements in and out of the garage. Working behind the command center, the dispatcher will have a real-time view of the fleet and be the go-to person for movement requests from the customer on early morning and evening shifts.

Essential Functions:Monitor real-time vehicle tracking through state-of-the-art systems. Ensure compliance with customer data acquisition policies Direct drivers on vehicle movements Monitor facility entrances and exits Responsible for employee adherence to policies and procedures, schedule integrity, data accuracy, management of time, and ability to mentor drivers/operators. Report on driver/operator metrics as customer specifies Determine which vehicles need fueling and schedule in a non-disruptive way. Communicate and document any and all pertinent information through the Program Manager. This position is privy to confidential information and as such, requires diplomacy and discretion.Accepts and performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:Education- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate degree preferred would consider a combination of education and on-the-job experience.Skills/Experience- Supervisory, group leadership, or high-level customer service experience preferred. Must have the ability to work with people fairly and unemotionally in potentially intense situations. Ability to apply logical thinking and decision making based on procedures and guidelines supplied in the various task assignments. Multi-tasking ability is critical to success in this position. Must be self-motivated and highly organized. Ability to use Mac products a plus.Physical Requirements- Ability to pass a drug screen and physical required. Job requires sitting, standing, and bending throughout the course of a workday. Must be flexible and available to work overtime as needed. Must have clean driving record.
