Join Our Team as a Disbursement Manager

Are you ready to lead and make an impact? We're looking for a dynamic Disbursement Manager to join our personal injury law firm and play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients receive the financial support they deserve swiftly and efficiently. Legal experience preferred, but not required!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Drafting settlement petitions and all necessary documents will be second nature to you. Your efficiency ensures settlements happen in a timely manner, letting clients breathe easy
• You'll constantly monitor, manage, and work the Disbursement Group’s dashboard like a pro. It's not just numbers; it's about delivering justice. Your keen eye will help us get clients their money quickly and efficiently
• You won't just hand off cases. You'll follow and actively pull all settlements through the entire disbursement process. Your dedication ensures our clients get their money as soon as possible
• The Most Important Thing: You are, at the same time, the leader and the support system for the entire disbursement team. It falls to you to actively and intentionally drive cases through the Disbursement Pipeline, rather than wait for them to come to you. You can do this best by eliminating your team's roadblocks and ensuring they have every tool, resource and support system they need to succeed!
• Managing the disbursement group budget is your playground. You'll maximize client outcomes while ensuring our disbursement group remains profitable. It's a balance, and you're the maestro
• You're not just here to manage, but to improve. Identify, develop, and present optimizations to enhance our firm's processes, making us better at every step. Your insights will shape our future
• As our Disbursement Manager, you'll be at the helm of our disbursement group, directing its operations with enthusiasm and expertise. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring our clients get their money without delay

Do you need to have experience in the legal industry?

No! While it would help to understand the legal process, we will train you! If you have a background in areas such as a Real Estate, Escrow or Mortgage Closing Officer where you balance the needs of the buyers/sellers with regulatory constraints… this might be for you! The skills needed to juggle escrow funds, various fees, and the mounds of paperwork needed to close a real estate deal will transfer nicely!

Compensation: $50,000-$55,000 base plus great bonus opportunity!

Requirements

• 5+ years as a disbursement, escrow, real estate operations or other financial related manager, supervising at least 3-10 employees
• Prior experience in a Law Firm or professional services firm environment preferred, but not required
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in legal or financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree in business related field
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to trust disbursement is a plus

Additional Information:

Supervisory Responsibility – This position will supervise the Disbursement team.

Work Environment – This position operates in a professional office environment.

Position Type/Expected Work Hours – This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel – No travel is expected for this position.
