Job Summary
Provides direct Naval Information Warfare Center, Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) portfolio project management support for the production of specialized Core System Kits, Back-Packable Kits (BPK), and Team Portable Kits (TPK) responsible for executing the management and production efforts of NIWC's program, project, and initiatives. In this role, the NIWC Atlantic Integrated Product Team (IPT) is accountable for the efficient, proper planning, and production of the kits in support of their USMC sponsor. Supports and leads a very technical prime production contract.
This position is eligible for telework from 50-100%.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manages client requirements and goals and internal and external changes to program objectives. Manages multiple internal and external stakeholder expectations, resolves conflict, undertakes critical negotiations with the client and corporate leadership, and motivates the team to excellence in project execution. Manages project finances and ensures that appropriate governance processes and structures are in place to meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements while managing risk. Provides technical project planning and management support, ensuring all deliverables and contract requirements are satisfied on time and within budget. Manages and works closely with government and subcontractor teams to monitor and report on technical performance and schedule.
Qualifications And Skills
Required knowledge and years of experience
Must have at least ten (10) years of experience. Must have experience with program/project management, production of electronic equipment/kits, financial management, schedule/POA&M development using Microsoft Project, and risk management.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Program/Project Management, or related field from an accredited program
Certifications
PMP is preferred, not required. In the case that candidate doesn't have PMP, the demonstration of Program Management experience is required.
