Job Description

Join a leading biopharmaceutical company that's dedicated to advancing innovative therapies for the treatment of Cancer.


As the Director of Supply Chain, you will oversee the coordination and management of all activities related to the procurement, labeling, packaging, distribution, and shipping logistics of clinical supplies to support global clinical trials. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing and implementing supply chain strategies and maintaining robust systems in compliance with regulatory guidelines.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain detailed inventories of materials and supplies located at CMOs, sites, and depots.
  • Negotiate pricing and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Coordinate engineering changes, new product launches, and facility changes to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP), regulatory, and clinical protocol requirements.
  • Anticipate and prepare for supply chain interruptions based on industry trends and establish contingency plans.
  • Provide information and guidance on supply chain availability, timelines, and costs to the clinical operations and product development teams.
  • Forecast clinical and commercial supply needs and provide rolling and binding forecasts to CMOs and CROs to ensure timelines for product supply are met.
  • Collaborate with clinical operations and CMC to define and adhere to clinical supply needs and timelines.
  • Manage a network of suppliers and vendors to ensure the effective and transparent implementation of supply chain processes.
  • Utilize packaging, labeling, and distribution knowledge to select clinical and commercial packaging as applicable.
  • Identify and support the qualification of new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
  • Work with CMOs, CROs, and key suppliers to ensure timely delivery, shipment, and distribution of drug products and other supplies to support global clinical trials.
  • Manage inventory, study closeout activities, and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed for IRT systems.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of experience in a supply chain role at a biotech/pharmaceutical company REQUIRED.
  • International/global experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage vendors globally in a GCP environment.
  • Proficient in supply systems like IRT/IXRS/IWVR.
