Director Of Supply Chain And Logistics

We are seeking a Director of Supply Chain and Logistics with multi-store retail or comparable experience who will bring strategic vision, innovative thinking, operational expertise, and strong executive skills to help lead and manage the development of our supply chain organization. The right candidate has the breadth of knowledge, the leadership and management skills, and the real world experience to shape mindset; to plan, design, and implement processes, systems, and metrics; and to inspire and train people to operate as an aligned and integrated whole. We want a charismatic leader who has developed, improved, and maintained high performance supply chain and logistics organizations and will synergistically work with existing executive team and line staff.

What You’ll Do

• Foster a high performance, people-focused culture that inspires people to hold themselves and others to do their best and realize their potential.
• Analyze and critique our existing systems; recommend, collaboratively plan and implement steps to grow and improve them; identify/hire and develop staff to carry it out; manage the implementation; and help change the culture to keep it going as we grow.
• Provide strategic vision and leadership for supply chain development and logistical improvement that enables continual growth.
• Collaborate and grow with other executives to maintain a smooth and reliable flow of product while helping to identify, devise and implement additional means to get product to customers.

• Solid operational management and general business skills and savvy coupled with good adaptability/flexibility, a strong sense of urgency, an action-oriented personality, and the drive and tenacity to overcome obstacles to do what is necessary to achieve the right results, on time.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with advanced Excel, RDB, and WMS competency.
• A minimum of 10 years combined experience in at least two of the following-- supply chain, logistics, or warehousing-- with deep knowledge in those fields, five years of management and two years at an executive level.
• Interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence that create trust and effective collaboration accompanied by excellent verbal communication, group presentation, and written communication skills.
• A demonstrated commitment to quality recruiting, building strong teams, working in a collaborative fashion, and developing/promoting your people.
